Yes We Can Do It.

No wonder they still call us monkeys who no longer live on trees but in cages..

When they came, they made us close our eyes to pray( pray for what? Our peace,  our lands, our resources or our culture.)
It sometimes sets me aback, when a degree holder cant even speak his or her native language - indeed our culture ..
But after we had prayed our hands they put their bibles and away they went with our lands if gold, diamond, silver, ivory.
Can we plant our cassava, plantain , bannana, cocoa be planted on the bible?
Can we mine our diamond, silver, gold on the bible?
No wonder they call us barbarians - our hope and future yet to be found and hope put into its proper place.
And that's why we need to be generational thinkers, that we may not think of ourselves and families alone but the unborn generation

Be A Generational Thinker.

Africana Conference 2015

On several deliberations and programs attended, I realized that most Ghanaians always think of moving outside to the states before they can become who they want to be.

This where I look through another window of hope blossoming on the African soil and setting our minds back on the vision of Marcus Garvey : REPATRIATION ...Lets go to Africa and make it as our home ...

Why do you think most Africans would work so hard for money outside their countries but feel relunctant working in their own countries?

Why do we purchase more foriegn goods than locally made products?

The only answer that sets me thinking again and again ...its maybe that's how we have conditioned ourselves to, through the reflections of slavery that our forefathers went through ...AFRICANA CONFERENCE '15...would give us a better answer.

NEO COLONIALISM

We say to the world, Africans are free. They are now independent. I always heave deep sigh when that phrase comes into mind.
Then I asked, are we indeed free, are independent of our resources, our governance system, our exports and imports?
Can we boast of depending on our resources and still have human beings on this side of the planet .
Why these civil wars?
Where is the peace we once enjoyed?
The security we felt in our neighborhoods?
Now we live in houses walled with metallic wires on them and our windows tightly built with metallic poles like animals who are in cages

Be A Generational Thinker.

aGenerationfought 4U
Today marks a memorable day in our lives when our forefathers put down their pride, dignity, selfish ambitions, and above all their lives to make Ghana a home indeed

But then we ask, are we also putting away what they looked not to and fight to make Ghana a better home for the generation unborn ...???

Africana Club is so much concerned about this agenda which seems to have been over looked..
There is a better future with a better home for us...We may not enjoy it but lets do what we can to make Ghana and Africa as a whole for ourselves and the unborn generation ..."Be a generational thinker"

Africana Conference Club presents Africana Conference 2015

Africana Conference Club is a club based on UCC campus currently and in future visions itself to be on the campus of the various

The club is aimed at helping young men and women to develop the quality of thinking generationally. In view of this, the club is organizing this maiden programme to throw light on the need for the cultivation of this quality. This year's Africana Conference is under the theme; "Why you can make it as an African on the African soil"

We are very much privileged to host important personalities like Dr.De-Velera Botchway,Reggie Rockstone, Dr.Obadele Kambon, Dr. Vladimir Antwi  Danso and Dr.Moussa Traore as key speakers at the conference.
